Dr Jessie graduated from Murdoch University in Perth, Australia and lived in Australia for 7 years before coming back to Singapore In 2018. She is a Singaporean and is fluent in Mandarin and English, which also allow her to communicate and understand patients’ needs in detail.
She got to know Chiropractic through her dad who was having chronic lower back pain and a General Practitioner mentioned that surgery is the only solution. His condition was affecting his simple day-to-day activities. Driving and walking for prolonged hours left him in pain and he even had to give up his favorite sport, badminton. It was really heart wrenching to see him in such a state. Thankfully his friend introduced him to Chiropractic from where he was diagnosed with spondylosis and a slipped disc at his lumbar region.
After a couple of treatments, it was visible that his condition was getting better which allowed him to resume his daily activities with ease. Dr Jessie was impressed and curious of this amazing treatment, which has the ability to alleviate the level of pain and symptoms without the use of medication.
Thus Dr Jessie embarked on a journey to learn more about Chiropractic, through research and following her father on his regular Chiropractic trips. She was intrigued by the integrated approach to healthcare, which deeply inspired her to pursue a career as a Chiropractor.
This career choice has allowed Dr Jessie to share the benefits of Chiropractic to help more people in need here in Singapore, to help patients regain functional control to lead a healthier and normal lifestyle.
